History of 397 "Marco Polo"

She was build in 1976 and owned by Erhard von der Bank/Germany as "Marco Polo". He sailed her on the River Mosel and sometimes in Hungary (Lake Balaton) and France (Mediterranean Sea).

I have owned her since the summer of 1988 when I was a 22 year old guy and sailed her also on the River Mosel. Since 1992 I have lived in the Northern part of Germany in the Kappeln district Schleswig-Holstein - it's between Kiel and Flensburg at the Baltic Coast and I sail her in the Westbalt and Kattegat (Danish waters).

It is very nice sailing with my Marco Polo and I am sure it is one of the fastest boats in my sailing area. A perfect singlehanded boat and very good construction.
