Aluffe's Cruise 2007 - Follow the trans-Atlantic voyage of William Garnier in his Achilles 24 Aluffe. Having sailed from Falmouth to Portugal in the Autumn of 2006 the second leg was from Nazare to the Canaries, leaving on the 8th of January and making a passage of 801 miles in 7 days, 12 hours and 40 minutes. William left Gomera on the 29th of January and arrived in Barbados on the 22nd of February, a passage of 2800 miles in 24 days. William then cruised the Caribbean before sailing for Bermuda arriving on the 25th of May after a passage of 10 days. Aluffe set off again and William arrived at Flores in the Azores at the end of June after a passage of 18 days.

National Data Buoy Centre - Reports from weather buoys around the U.K. I look at the Seven Stones Lightship page when it is blowing a hooligan to see how much sea is running. The most I have seen recorded is 29 feet, which is more than the height of Zethar's masthead from the water. Hmmm.....
