Achilles 24

94 Crazy Puffin
Thanks to Simon Clark and Hilary Adkin for providing the photo and information.

Crazy Puffin was rescued from living in a hedge for 20 years having never been launched. Simon built it and fitted it out to a far from standard (but very workable) spec and launched it for the first time in 1991. Since then it has competed in the round the island race, competed and won in the Royal Southampton double handed series and cruised extensively along the south coast, channel isles and Normandy (where her wine-carrying capacity is legendary). She has been known to surf along, downwind with the kite up at 14 knots terrifying both us and the competition! Yes, she is cramped, yes she is wet but you can't do better for sea-worthyness and value-for-money sailing with huge fun-factor. We think she is pretty special.
Owners: Simon Clark and Hilary Adkin.
Sailed from Lymington.
